Gather the laundry and count socks by pairs, touching each pair while saying 2, 4, 6. Then slide in one single sock to start from an odd number, counting 1, 3, 5, 7. Say each number aloud together and listen for the even or odd sound. When your child can start from any number up to 30 and keep going correctly, counting backwards is the next challenge.
