Make story cards from past worksheets and set out four labeled piles: joining, taking away, comparing, and equal groups. Before solving each card, your child names the pile it belongs in and says why. Only then do they solve it. When your child sorts nearly every card correctly, try the three-digit stories to stretch the same thinking.
